Local Committee President's Address
Dear colleagues and friends,
On behalf of the local organizing committee and the Hellenic Pediatric Respiratory Society, it is a great honor to welcome all of you to Thessaloniki, the second biggest city in Greece with more than 2300 years of multicultural history.
We are thrilled to host CIPP, the only international conference devoted entirely to the subspecialty of Pediatric Pulmonology. This unique event brings together the academic leaders and mentors of our subspecialty with practicing pediatric pulmonologists, general pediatricians, trainees and allied healthcare professionals from all over the world; this formidable interaction spreads scientific knowledge, generates new research ideas and improves the healthcare of children with respiratory diseases both in low and high income countries. This year the scientific committee has produced an excellent program that will satisfy even the most demanding delegates, inspire juniors and ensure that XIX CIPP will be one of the most successful meetings we have ever had.
As the president of the local organizing committee I kindly urge you to also take some time to explore our magic city, learn its history, taste its amazing gastronomy and enjoy the unique attractions of the region of Hellenic Macedonia.
Please regard myself and all the Greek colleagues as your hosts and do not hesitate to contact us if we can facilitate your stay in our beautiful city.
