CLINICAL ACTIVITIES :

Pediatric Neurologist expert in Diagnosis and treatment of Neuromuscular Disorders, in particular early onset diseases with orthopaedic and respiratory severe complications (SMA, congenital muscular dystrophies (CMD) congenital myopathies and myasthenic syndromes); specialized consultation, daily hospital at R. Poincaré Hospital. Head of the pediatric EMG laboratory.

TEACHING :

Diplomas, specialized trainings and programs in France and in foreign countries (Myology Diploma (Paris- Marseille), Neuromuscular management (Garches), Pediatric Neurology, Physical therapy, Genetics. Summer Schools of Myology (Paris, Latin- America, Spain), Myo-MRI muscle imaging (Paris).

Teaching on neuropediatrics, diagnosis and clinical management of ealy-onset neuromuscular disorders (CMDs, SMA, pediatric EMG and muscle imaging (whole-body MRI muscle pattern recognition).  Respiratory and orthopaedic management in pediatric neuromuscular diseases. Innovative therapies.

RESEARCH :

Clinical research (diagnosis, identification of new genes  in CMD, congenital myopathies,  arthrogryposis; treatment and multidisciplinary management of early onset neuromuscular disorders)

Scientific coordinator of the French SMA national Registry from 2020 with more than 1000 patients

Coordinator and participant in national and international Neuromuscular Expert groups and programs: International CMD and SMA network (ENMC workshops), Pediatric EMG group of interest (Pr M Pitt, London) muscle imaging (Myo-MRI.Dr R Carlier and Pr. P Carlier); CMD family groups (AFM)
