Local Committee President's Address

Dear Colleagues,

It is for me and for the Italian Society of Pediatric Respiratory Disease (SIMRI), which I have the honor to Chair, a great pleasure welcome in Naples the 15th edition of the International Congress on Pediatric Pulmonology (CIPP XV).

I believe that Naples will hold up to the tradition of the delightful venues that characterizes the CIPP congresses.

Naples is a truly inspirational city to visit from a historical perspective as well as in regards to social events.

Its rich culture reflects its exciting past. It was the first site in Italy to be colonized by the Greeks, who were attracted by the beauty of the area that still persists today and that continues to attract worldwide visitors.

The Naples Royal Palace, the San Carlo Opera House, the Museums and archeological excavations nearby, Pompeii and Hercolaneum, and, last but not least, Sorrento and Capri are among the attractions of the area.

I am sure that the historical background, the Scientific Programme that is being prepared and the interactive structure of the sessions will be key ingredients for the success of this important scientific event aimed at paediatricians with special interest in pediatric pulmonology.

Hoping to meet you in Naples,

Sincerely yours
