Welcome address & Committees

Welcome address

Dear Colleagues

I invite you to join me in Montreal, Canada on July 8-11, 2006 for the Seventh International Congress of Pediatric Pulmonology (CIPP VII). CIPP is the foremost international congress devoted to the specialties of pediatric pulmonary, allergy, and critical care medicine. At CIPP VI in 2004 there were more than 1200 attendees from over 60 countries with 100 invited speakers. We anticipate that there will more than 2000 attendees meeting in Montreal in 2006.

Professor Andy Bush and the distinguished International Organizing Committee have developed an outstanding program with State of the Art updates on all major fields in pediatric pulmonology, critical care, and allergy. As in previous years, we will have a thematic pathway allowing the attendee to attend many of the exciting presentations at the conference. Specific emphasis will be made to assess problems in the practice of pediatric pulmonary in developing countries. There is also a strong emphasis on original scientific presentations with awards recognizing outstanding scientific presentations by younger pulmonologists and trainees. Proceedings of the conference will be published as supplement of a prestigious review, and these proceeding will be made available to all attendees.

The preliminary program is posted on this website and will be updated as needed. I invite you to register early for this meeting, and to submit an abstract for presentation. As President of CIPP VII and as a Canadian I look forward to welcoming you to Montreal.
