Welcome address & Committees / Welcome address

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The Sixth International Congress on Pediatric Pulmonology (CIPP VI) will be held between February 28 - March 2, 2004 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Building on its tradition of excellence, the CIPP VI will offer in-depth, state of the art updates on majors aspects of pediatric pulmonology, allergy immunology, and pediatric critical care medicine, including coverage of basic mechanisms relevant to current understanding and management of pediatric respiratory diseases.

As in previous CIPP, specific problems pertaining to the practice of Pediatric Pulmonology in developing countries will constitute a major element of the program, and thereby will provide ample opportunities for discussion and interaction among colleagues practicing in such countries. In addition, a translational approach incorporating pathways linking bench to bedside has been implemented and will allow the participant to focus on a specific disease process of interest throughout the conference. Moreover, such thematic pathway approach will still allow you multiple opportunities to explore many other exciting presentations throughout the Conference.

As you can see, the preliminary scientific program has been posted on this website and will be updated as needed. Please visit the Conference website frequently since updates will periodically appear.

We hope to see you in Lisbon, and invite you to mark your calendar for the following important.
