President's Welcoming AddressDear Friends and Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to invite you to attend the CIPP IX in 2010 in Vienna, the major congress dedicated to only Pediatric Pulmonology.
Respiratory illnesses are the major global cause of childhood morbidity and mortality, and as health professionals involved in pediatric lung health we have an important role to play in preventing and treating these diseases.
I expect that delegates from all over the world will participate, and therefore the program will reflect this international contribution.
Topics that are of interest to everyone will be discussed focusing on all features of lung health in children. We hope that all attendees will share their experiences obtained in their respective countries, this will enable all of us to learn from their success.
All aspects of pediatric Pulmonology issues will be covered in symposia and instructional lectures delivered by distinguished speakers from all over the world. The program will provide an opportunity both to present and to follow the current research in our field. Young investigators, who are the future of our profession, are encouraged to present their work.
The Congress will be held in the well-known Congress Center of Vienna, Austria, which provides the ideal combination of an excellent congress venue and a centrally-located European city which is one of the most beautiful in Europe, rich in history, music and culture.
I am looking forward to a successful congress providing interactions between all participants, meeting with old friends and making new ones.
Eitan Kerem, MD
